  1. Actually, we can.

Does the hair on your neck ever stand up?  Do you ever just have a bad feeling about something?  These are just indicators that something is wrong.

You just need to be atuned to your senses.  Most of us ignore what we feel, because our mind tells us that everything is ok, since we want that to be the case.

    Go with your gutt.

  2. You can if you listen to your senses..They will warn you but you have to listen..

  3. Humans can sense danger too, but not as good as animals because we spend our time more on thinking instead of instincts.  When we think, we lessen the danger around us, thus decreasing the need for our instincts.  Animals, since they can't think, have to use their instincts a lot to save themselves.  So, they become good with their sensing of danger.

  4. Unlike humans, animals aren’t being constantly distracted by their ipods or thoughts on the latest bit of gossip or whatever so they spend more mental energy on being in tune with their senses. This is why they seem to be able to sense danger easier and quicker than humans. A change in the environment triggers off a sense of ‘wrongness’ which the animal picks up on and then reacts accordingly. All animals have evolved this strategy as a survival mechanism in the face of predation. Humans, in the west, tend to live more inside their heads and have this belief that nothing nasty is going to happen to them.

This is based on a belief in things like laws, things the government wouldn’t allow and Police and CCTV. Strangely enough those in society that have little respect and belief in these institutions become more able to sense danger as they get more in tune with their gut feelings to avoid being arrested or getting a good kicking.

We call this being street wise which is all about knowing where to go and where not to go and recognizing when somebodie or group of bodies are going to kick off. It’s also about recognising potentially dangerous situations and avoiding them.

  5. their instincts are  higher ,sense of smell.night time vision as cats and dogs.etc..of course they can sense danger better than we do!!

  6. because animals have an extra sense and only a few humans have an extra sense

  7. A lot of us humans can sense danger!!

  8. We do! We just don't listen to it.

Animals rely fully on instinct, while we mostly operate on an intellectual basis. Whenever we get an intuitive feeling, the logical brain can block it out by going, "That's irrational, I won't listen to that".

Haven't you ever been somewhere and had a creepy feeling and just wanted to get out? Didn't you ever meet someone and think, "They seem like bad news" and they hadn't said or done anything wrong?

Most of the time when something dangerous happens, you do get some little warning that says all is not well. People who work in dangerous conditions use that sense all that time - otherwise their lives would be significantly shorter.

  9. Actually some humans can do this.  Have you ever heard of "that gut feeling".  Many just ignor it

  10. We traded our instincts for our knowhow ,we don't let the environment affect us we change it to suit our needs .We have lost our advanced instincts cuz we have secured our place ,we are not exposed to danger so randomly as game in the foliage .We don't catch our food ,we trade for it .The only foe is ourselves [mostly], we beat others with plans .

We go against the flow ,animals go with it so they are more prone to its currents .

  11. If you're referring to things like earthquakes, most animals actually *don't*, at least not the first time they encounter one.

I have 4 cats, a dog, and a couple snakes. Not too long ago we had a 5.something quake that gave us quite a prolonged jolt. NONE of my animals did anything weird before hand, but you can bet they were jumpy as h**l for a few weeks whenever anyone would walk across the rooms above them. Some earthquakes, and other events, send out "precursor" vibrations. Animals who understand what these are (by having experienced them before) simply recognise them and know something bad is going to happen like last time.

Sometimes I, too, can feel these precursors and what they do is make me motion sick. Oddly enough, it is very tiny, imperceptible movements that make me sick, not large scale so tiny earthquakes make me want to vomit when other people don't feel them at all.

  12. They don't always or thee would not be as much deat in the animal kingdon. some people can sense danger. I have many times.

  13. most humans do not have do deal with life and death decisions on a daily basis.  When we are faced with a situation that could be life threatining or dangerous we are slow to react because we can't really believe that something really bad can happen to us. We have blinders on to what is going on around us.    It depends on how and where you grew up,  people who have grown up in war torn countries or dangerous neighborhoods or just have "street smarts"  pay attention and can usually see a bad situation comming

  14. People do, it's just that there's so much mental noise that we usually ignore it. Sometimes when you get that sickly feeling in the pit of your stomach when something seems amiss, that's it.
