You know it really urckes me there are all these websites that claim to want to help.But all they really want is your money. What ever happened to real people that truely care about other People?

So true------but-----to be fair, these organizations need money to be able to work with.  They need help to help others.  It is really anoying, I know, but they can't work just on love and need finances.

So, instead, you want organizations to ask for... you good will and best wishes?

Money pays for trained professionals that give people what they want and need (job training, counseling, education, positive activities, etc.), pays for the facilities where activities take place, pays for equipment, and in many cases pays for transportation and accommodation of both staff AND those served.

Without money, organizations could do very little to help people -- organizations cannot rely *only* on in-kind donations of equipment, facilities and volunteers in order to address people's biggest needs.

If you want to give something other than money, there are many organizations that would welcome your volunteer time. However, you should remember that volunteers are not free -- someone has to pay for the copy machine in order to provide you with adequate training materials, for the rent on wherever your training is held, for the staff person to train and supervise you and protect the safety of clients you will work with, etc.
