  1. Overly priced, mixed breed, poor quality rabbits that are NEVER separated by gender. Most employees cannot properly s*x a rabbit, and many people go home with two boys, who will fight, or worse.

They are usually about 6 weeks old, half as big as they will eventually be, far too young to be away from their mother. If they are old enough to be away from their mother, they are able to reproduce and are probably already pregnant.

So you have to choose between an orphan too young for solid food or a pregnant teen rabbit.

Edit: It's not the people at Petco's fault. They would probably be able to distinguish between a girl and a boy except that before 3 months, their s*x organs appear the same.

  2. Over priced, poorly bred rabbit from mass breeders that breed for a buck not for the love or improvement of the animal.  You can buy a show quality, well bred, gorgeous animal from an knowledgeable breeder for what you'd pay at Petco.

Buy from a reputable ARBA breeder or adopt from a shelter.

  3. Rabbits from breeding mills.

    You should adopt
