  3. Iranians and Ethiopians have a different calender. So 2012 might not be the end of the world. Maybe anyone who is frightened should try to get into Iran or Ethiopia.

  4. lol

You are so out of your depth with this.

Constantine was the Roman Emperor. And our calendar was revised to the Gregorian one later (14th C?) anyway.

And lastly, 2012 is from the Mayan calendar, and they didn't say 2012: it's just that the date that they say the world will end turns out to be our 21st Dec 2012.

  6. The galm-rock band Wizzard wanted to do that, they tried to start a new calendar where it was christmas every day.

It didn't work out, not enough turkeys.

  7. You're on the right track, the calender is based on the birth of Jesus as a starting point but there was a miscalculation on the year He was born.  The actual year Jesus was born was probably around 6 B.C. and could have been no later than 4 B.C. since that's the year Herod died.  So the current calender is off by about 4 to 6 years.

The Mayan calender just ends in 2012, they never said the world was going to end in 2012, but not only has that taken on a life of it's own but people now falsely claim they predicted everything from 9/11 to the two world wars.
