You know the old saying history repeats itself?

Question

well before WW2 britain agreed to defend poland if germany invaded and now we just did the same with poland against russia. germany had a crappy economy after WWI and had lost its pride. and now its the same with russia except it was after the cold war. is anyone else seeing a pattern? also does this mean WW3 is near?

Russia's Economy is doing VERY well right now. Russia's economy is doing better now then even before; why do you think they love Vladimir Putin so much? (it's because he has brought the country very far, including the economy)

Well while history does repeat itself, I believe it's more accurate to say if you don't know your past, you won't have a future. It seems lots of people keep making the same mistakes. For instance, If the US had been drilling for oil in the 1970's during the last oil crisis we wouldn't be in this mess. Also, In WW2, Hitler invaded France the same way Germany invaded France in WW1, didn't they pay attention? Also, I think it's funny how everyone says there will never be another holocaust, but haven't they seen Darfur? No I don't think there will be a depression as bad as the 1930's, but it will be pretty bad.

So yeah, members of Generation X learn from this, since I don't want us to make the same mistakes people have made so far.

P.S. I don't think there will be any world wars any time soon.
