well before WW2 britain agreed to defend poland if germany invaded and now we just did the same with poland against russia. germany had a crappy economy after WWI and had lost its pride. and now its the same with russia except it was after the cold war. is anyone else seeing a pattern? also does this mean WW3 is near?

  1. The Georgian conflict is a little regional scrap.

There are no parallels with Germany in the 1930s, Russia is economically doing very well - the South Ossetians have Russian passports, and the Georgians started the whole thing anyway.

The potential for war with Iran is a much scarier prospect as it will unleash further terrorists hellbent on the destruction of the West.

  2. uh, Russia's Economy is doing VERY well right now. Russia's economy is doing better now then even before; why do you think they love Vladimir Putin so much? (it's because he has brought the country very far, including the economy)

  3. War is always near and yet as far away as we want it to be.
