  1. Everyone is dancing around the question and not quite getting the correct answer.  Yes, it is possible to use one of those duplicators to copy a movie rented from Blockbuster.  But most likely you'll be disappointed.  The reason why is that most movies have a copy protection scheme embedded in them to prevent exactly what you want to do.

There are programs you can use on a PC to bypass the copy protection and therefore make a copy of the movie.  The legalities are myriad and complex and unimportant for your question.  DVD duplicators are stand-alone devices and have no facility for copy protection bypass software.  Therefore, any attempt to make copies for whatever reason will most likely be futile.

  2. try the following program DVD FAB Platinum, it will clone anything. but please antyhing you clone keep for your own personal collection, not to sell which is against the law.

  3. Yes. You can do it, and its perfectly legal, unless you give the copy away, or sell it. But, it is possible. Give it away, or sell it, you can be fined 2000 dollars plus 2 years in jail.
