You know those old acoustic guitars?

that are real worn and they are a brownish orange. i know they didnt start that way what color did they start as

Over time, any natural finish guitar will tend to get yellow because of smoke, pollution etc....

The finish ages and and loses its lustre as well as the wood.

They could have started that way, and just faded over time.  The finish I believe you are referring to is what is called a "Vintage Sunburst"
