You know what really TICKS me off!?!

Question

its OKAY for people to have huge factories, to kill cows, pigs, chickens, fish, etc. (for food)....but its illegal to kill a dog for food in the U.S.???? im not saying i aproove of any killing of animals (im a vegetarian) but what im saying is, all animals have the same amount of feelings! and people shouldnt be allowed to kill one animal, but not the other...it seems unfair to me for some resaon..idk

if we did, the dog pounds would have less business. maybe we should send all the dogs and cats from the pounds, to china. they could use the food and we could help balance the trade deficit with them......

People eat dogs in other parts of the world, and in India cows are considered holy and roam the streets.

Would you like people in the US to start eating dogs? Would that make you feel better? Look, I'm sure every country has something like that. If you want a real reason, I don't think I can give it to you because I haven't looked into it at all, but I also don't see the point. You're a vegetarian who's pissed off because we're not slaughtering an extra species?

I know!  I think this is retarded.  I'm definately not against killing animals for food.  It really doesn't bother me that people use animals for their fur or skin.  What does tick me off is that I just lost a guinea pig to an upper respiratory infection because it was a weekend and I couldn't find an emergency vet who would see exotic pets.  The doctor I work for was going to call in a very safe and properly dosed antibiotic for my guinea pig but the pharmacist refused stating that only a vet could call in mediciation for an animal.  In short, you can test shampoos and perfumes on guinea pigs until they die but God forbid if you try to save one's life.  Our society is boxed in by its own rules.

ticks me off too. idk how people can eat pigs... they are so cute! every animal species deserves the right to live its a shame they dont :(
