  4. yellow lines means traffic on the opposing side of the street is moving in the other direction while white lines mean traffic is flowing togeether. solid=dont pass, broken= passing is allowed as long as safe conditions exist

  12. true, all those do is tell you when its the safest time to pass. You can pass even with solid yellow lines, its not against the law. Yellow means caution.

    This is in Ontario though.
