I am reading the story "I, robot" when I came across this quote "You must catch the rabbit before you can cook rabbit stew ". Can someone please tell me what does it means?

  1. it takes hard work before you can actually get something accomplished.


  2. it means you have to go through the motions and effort of a task before you can enjoy the benafits.  namely you have to go to the work and trouble of catching the rabbit before you can fill you belly.  it's basically saying things aren't free and you gotta work for them

    (unless, of course, you go over to someone else's house for stew =D)

  3. It's a little bit like the saying "Don't cry victory until the battle is over."  You have to do your "dirty work" before you get to the good part.

  4. it probably means..

    you have to work hard first before you can enjoy it

  5. for any work we wnay to do first of all we should have the things or equipments to do that work
