What would be nice is if you had to take something to be able to get pregnant!  Kind of like reverse birth control, everyone would be sterile until they are ready to have a child then BOTH the man and the woman would have to visit the Dr. to get the appropriate pill to get pregnant!  Then you wouldn't have all the oops babies!

haha, i've never thought about it before. it would be tough to manage or enforce a law limiting birth. i believe its china that has something like that but they're not a democracy either.

because how is the law supposed to stop people from having s*x? every person would have to have their own "body guard" and then their body guards would need body guards and so on and so on. it's just to difficult

face it, people are going to have s*x, some younger than other, and some more immature than others, but the will have s*x

Because it would be waaaay too difficult to enforce.  You would basically have to monitor everyone's sexual encounters and make sure they are using protection.  It is a heck of a lot easier to monitor people fishing at a lake for licenses.

because you can't tell people whether or not they can have s*x and reproduce, it's a basic human instinct that will (hopefully) never be regulated. it would be almost impossible to prevent it. yes, some stupid people out there shouldn't be having kids, but you can't lump them in with all the great, responsible parents out there that raise wonderful children.

people's opinions on who should have kids and who shouldnt are different, it would be discrimination. Why do you want the government regulating on your reproduction? its not right.

you have to get a license to have a child in china...otherwise your child will be illegal and you can't obtain a birth certificate. i know it's only because they're so over populated but geez, they really should do something about it over here. there are way too many teen pregnancies, unwanted children, mothers who kill their kids...etc.
