  1. Smoking it is unhealthy.  So is drinking alcohol or smoking cigarettes.

I don't necessarily think it should be legalized or made available for sale to the public, however, I am strongly against the criminal penalties that come with it.  No one should be in prison for using or possessing small amounts of marijuana.

Smugglers and dealers are a bit different, but 99% of people should just be left the h**l alone to do whatever they want to do in the privacy of their own home.

  2. I don't have a problem with it other than the harm it causes your brain and it makes my hubby an A$$HOLE - even he admits that when he smokes regularly he is a total je*rk.

  3. Never tried it , never will. I don't think it should be legalized.

  4. Marijuana should be just as legal as tobacco and alcohol products, with the restrictions of alcohol. There should be penalties for using marijuana inappropriately, just like alcohol.

You get caught with a packed bowl in your car and you should incur the same penalty as an open container. If you have it in a plastic bag and get caught driving, this is the same as a closed container since you can't smoke it right out of the bag.

Drinking in public is not allowed, nor should smoking marijuana be. It is a more psychoactive and harmful substance that cigarettes and should not be smoked freely, even in designated smoking locations. Children should not be encouraged to try or use it, anymore than they should be encouraged to start drinking.

All 3 of these substances have their pros and cons, but ultimately I believe marijuana should be treated nearly identical to alcohol. That's it.

  5. This is a very complex question. And I don't know my stand: Legalizing it would sure make it a whole lot easier and safer to get. Not to mention people's views about it might change. But it would also cause it to be a government owned organization resulting in marijuana taxes and all that junk. I think I'm happier with it being illegal. The penalties for using it, however, ofcourse should lighten up.

  6. it needs to be legalized. i am a child of the 60's as well as a retired nurse. i had breast cancer in 2005 and the resulting radiation burns were horrible and very painful. then it got infected. pain meds offered no relief so a friend brought over some weed. alas, blessed pain relief! in  speaking with other cancer patients many of them said weed brought their only relief.

as a side note, i was Director of Nursing at a long term care facility. we used marinol, (weed in pill form) to treat anorexia in the elderly with fantastic results.

we can buy alcohol and cigarettes so why not weed? its been demonized far too long.

  7. It increases your chances of mental illness like schizophrenia.

  8. PUFF-PUFF-PASS!

  9. Legal for cancer and other chronic conditions.

Legal but restricted to certain areas for recreational use (private homes, smoking lounges, etc.).
