  1. Its gross. People look fake and plastic when they wear too much makeup.

  2. You can tell when you look unnatural and have messy make up. My opinion is not to wear a lot because if you're with a guy who you're serious with, he's going to see your REAL face eventually, and if it'll be hella different from your "makeup face" then that'll suck when he runs. Look as natural as you can because nobody wants to be disappointed to find out you're ugly without make-up.

  3. Where When Your Makeup On Your Face Rubs Off On Other Peoples Shirts..

I've Learned To Tone It Down

  4. RED LIPS AND DARK EYESHADOW TOGETHER TO TOO MUCH MAKE UP

LITE MAKE UP & RED LIPS ARE OK AND VISE VERSA

BRIGHT COLORED MAKE UP THAT TOO MUCH TOO

  5. Good question.

Sometimes, what's appropriate for one situation is no good for another. An example already used is the "going to the beach" scenario. For example, if you wear the same amount and style of make-up to the beach that you'd wear clubbing...that's too much make-up for the beach. Especially if you actually want to swim.

Wearing make-up in a out-of-date style can also be seen as too much make-up. Remember the amount of blush used in the 80's? That would be considered way over the top these days. Actually, just about all the make-up from the 80's would be considered too much make-up for today's gals.

And lets talk about the wrong colors for your skin tone. I could wear the same amount of eye shadow in electric blues or muted browns and the browns (for me) would be seen as natural while the blues would be too much.

On a more practical note, if you can't touch your face because you'd make a hole in your foundation, you've got too much on.

If your eyeshadow is falling onto your cheeks every time you blink...too much.

If your dad looks at you and say your look like a....well, we all know what he thinks we look like...you might have too much on.

If your boyfriend or husband looks at you and says he prefers you not to wear make-up at all....you've got the perfect amount on, you look gorgeous and he's afraid you're too pretty to really want him and that you're going to run off with the next guy that looks at you sideways.

  6. If their foundation doesn't match their face and/or they cake it on, not putting on their eyeshadow properly, or using their black eyeliner as eyeshadow, using clump mascara, using bad quality makeup that smears and smudges all over their face..

  7. Too much make-up is when a girls foundation doesn't match the color of her neck.

And you're wearing too much if you look like a clown.

  8. well like you stated it is a matter of opinion so its hard to say but personally i dislike when the cover up is so packed on it looks unnatural that's my biggest pet pev but other than that i think it depends on the situation  like if you are going to the beach you might wanna look more natural or for a dinner party sophisticated but the main thing is every one should have there own style

  9. ew.fake.yuck.messy.gross

  10. When foundation looks caked on, or it is to orange for there skin tone. To much blush.

You can tell if you are wearing to much if you look fake.

But still it all depends on the look you are going for.

  11. To me, the definition of too much makeup is NOT YOU!!!  If you don't look like a prettier you-then you obviously have way to much makeup on.  Makeup is designed to enhance what you already have--not to give you an entirely new face.

You can tell when you have to much when it rubs off on other people, when your face looks powdery, when your lips are too red (for the occasion), and when you have so much eyeliner/shadow on that you look like you have a black eye ;)

  12. My def of too much make up is.. Really red/pink blush cheeks :p and like lipstick [only on people younger than 25]  . I dont know how to tell when you wearing to much i guess when you look cakey and fake?

  13. When it comes to foundation, if you have to re-touch over and over again throughout the day, also with powder too, then you are wearing too much.

The key is wearing what suits, not colours that aren't harmonious to your skin tone, eye colour and hair colour, it will always stick out like a sore thumb and look overdone.

Black eyeliner and mascara on blonde women, always looks overdone as well.
