You party, new hope?

anyone who would like to be involved with a new political party with a different agenda look at www.youparty.co.uk seems the time couldnt be better for some fresh air!. seems they want to give the power to the people again.

The problem is that government by referendum never works. It's possibly the single most innefficient way to run a country.

Also those who are most likely to vote will be those who feel most strongly about specific issues, so you end up with inordinate weight being given to the opinions of political extremists.

The only way for any democratic party to work in favour of the voter is for ALL voters to attend a polling station and cast a vote... even if they don't like the candidates and therefore deliberately waste it on a spoilt paper.

That is the only way that politicians will listen to the power of the people.

But of course they (The Politicians) don't want people telling them how to vote over issues so it's in their favour for most people to abstain by never bothering to vote.

Hmm looks to me like another party who will never stand a chance and your ideas again too radical like that to get in office thing ridiculous waste of time this countries Democracy is so favourable of the Tories and Labour.

Not before time. However, "give power to the people", what on earth is that, especially as they have it already, don't we, and if not, we do not get given, we take.
