For a number of reasons, I like the Chinese and Japanese people very much. I have never had any friends of either race but through my work in the industry I have the opportunity to speak to a number of these people. But there seems to be a common link; they don't talk well about each other? I find enormous humility in all my acquaintances and that is the only thing that confounds me. I would appreciate hearing from all of you why I should travel to China, or to Japan this December. I have free time coming and taking off work is rare for me, so of course I want to have the best experience possible. I would appreciate genuine and factual reasons, I want no one's feelings hurt.

Please know how much I appreciate your time.

Thank you very much.

  1. k......

  2. go to South Korea, its beautiful, ive been there and enjoyed my time a lot.

  3. There are good and bad in all races not just Japanese and Chinese.  Of course some of us (I am Japanese) talk about each other.  In fact my whole family talks about each other and my moms friends do too.  But in general most people are good and do not gossip about others if  they are moral people.

I think you should travel to Japan if you just want to see what the culture is like.  My family and I travelled to Japan to visit my dads family who are still there and it was wonderful meeting his brother.  Japan is very beautiful but also very expensive.  My brother in-law (he is not asian) likes to travel to China on his vacations.  So I just suggest you read up on it until you need to actually make plans and see which you would like to visit first.  Maybe you could travel to the other country next year.

On the whole though about your question Asians on the whole are for the most part respectful of others and more umm...proper in how they act in public.  But like I said there are good and bad in any people so just don't assume that all Japanese and all Chinese are going to act the same way like the ones you know from work.

Hope you enjoy where ever you travel.  I loved going to Japan and learning about where I came from.  You see I was born here in the states and lived here all my life.

  4. Do not go! You might bring back a flu virus!!!

  5. so you like these people. that is great. but i will tell you that they are not honest to a point. they can lie and look you right into the eye and say something which isn't true they tend to not speak the truth with americans and therefore be careful that is all i have to say have a good time and go to where ever you want but remember you are in country that is n ot as friendly as you may think.

  6. Go for it ?   i never get the chance to visit other country ?  not many people ever goes out to another country ?

  7. MORON!!!!!!

  8. I think you should go! why not? you'll learn a lot from the diversity, and about what you said of "they don't talk well about each other" I think nobody in this world talks well about everybody anyways...

brush that off and enjoy your trip!

  9. Why don't the Chinese like the Japanese (and the Koreans don't care for them either)? Do a google search on THE RAPE OF NANKING.

You'll have a better time  touring Japan (I lived there for over 3 years) than China (I've had friends who have gone to China and there was so much restriction on where they could go, what they could do, what they could say).

  10. they dont talk well about eachother cause of the Wars between them in the past, just look up the Raping of Nankeen (forgive my mispelling), horrific!

I would love to visit both countries, the people in Japan will probably be friendlier than people in China, Like going from the Midwest to New York.

    Have a great trip!

  11. (you're right, i think you're a moron.)
