  1. People use a graphics editing program like Photoshop or Paint Shop Pro. No, those programs aren't free, but you get similar capabilities with The GIMP, which is. Just google it.

  2. Try PhotoFiltre & this one is FREE . It works the same as Photoshop there's just a couple things you can't do as same as Photoshop . But it works !

  3. Its been very badly done in Photoshop or similar, obviously the creator hasn't mastered feathering a selection yet.

  4. Everyone gave great answers, but here's one you haven't seen:

    Photoshop Elements ($99)

... and you can always use "MSPaint" or whatever picture editor came with Windows on your computer.

There's a lot of free picture editors out there.

  5. Yes that's a really really poor cutout.

You definitely need a graphics editing program like Photoshop or Gimp and ideally a graphics tablet and pen for accuracy.

  6. Hi Karen

That was done in a program similar to Phtoshop but the I give this job a 3 on 10.

If you are to use a backgound, then find one and secondly, find the pic you want to use. Now use the magic wand or lasso and cut out the person. Use the feathering option 2 or 3 times and set it at 2 or 3 max. Now copy and paste it and resize it to whatever you want.

At lease, once the pic is feathered correctly, you won;t get that square cut-out look unless that is what you want.

Then just type any word on the pic and select it to use the font you want.  you can rotate and color it with the same background color.

Combine all layers or just save in jpeg and it will combine the layers for you.
