  1. When direct tv just cam out I installed mine myself it's not rocket science.  You just need to point it in the righ direction.  Oh guess I should mention it did take me about 4 hours to hit the actual signal, but it is possible to do yourself.


  2. Yes, just make sure the dish is pointing to 28.2º East - That's where the Astra sattellite is. It won't work pointing at any other direction. It doesn't have to be mounted on your property either, you could mount it to a pole in the garden. Just make sure that you don't put it slack, or the signal will disappear if it moves with the wind. Also, it has to have a clear line of sight to the Sky otherwise it wont pick up the signal properly.

    The guy below mentioned DirectTV (US Sat). That works on multi LNBs which are pointing to MANY sattellites at once. That's why it takes so long. Sky systems require only 1 LNB on your dish!
