haha.

Assuming you wanted to work for a foreign government while still retaining your citizenship, how would you approach them about offering your services in a clandestine role?

thanks. Always wondered how these deals get brokered.

  1. It's called espionage and if caught you'll lose your citizenship and be convicted as a traiter.

Get the movie: A Family of Spies. Very eye opening and very real.

  2. If you have access to information they want it is likely they will "cultivate" you.

For you to volunteer your services is very difficult.....

First you need a course in "trade craft'.... dead drops.....cut outs.....load and unload signals..... brush contact..... a thousand and one skills...

Then you need to make contact.... very difficut because there are people watching them......and probably watching you...... to have information that is sellable you would probably have a security clearance.....your prints would be on file..... you would need to avoid leaving any forensic trail.....down to and including not l*****g stamps or envelopes

You would need an off shore account..... have an emergency escape plan.....alternative ID..... cash caches in case you need to leave town NOW..... you would keep a low profile, not raise your standard of living or draw attention to yourself.....etc

Then you would get a courier service to deliver a package to the buying country embassy.....in it would be instructions for accessing the first dead drop containing a free good faith packet of classified material..... included would be communications systems.....how payment would be made for future packets.....etc

You would NOT want them to know who you are.... and maintain security under your terms.... you avoid face to face contact at all costs..... they will try to know your ID , plan for that.....they will want to control you.....task you...... you keep control
