  1. The song is an old Scottish song called Bonnie Banks of Loch Lomond.  Run Rig revamped it in the '80's it was a minor hit for them.  They went on to have loads of super song although none really made any impact on the charts

    Iits been covered by many many performers over the years. it was IIRC made famous by Harry Lauder amongst others.

  6. The song is called Loch Lomond look around you should have to much problem finding someone who has recorded it, it is a very popular song

  7. Its an old scottish folk song passed down for generations.  Lots of people have sung it.  Its kind of like asking who sang 99 bottles of beer on the wall.  But here are the lyrics:

    By yon bonnie banks,

    And by yon bonnie braes,

    Where the sun shines bright on Loch Lomond,

    Where me and my true love

    Were ever want to gae,

    On the bonnie, bonnie banks of Loch Lomond.

    Oh! ye'll take the high road and

    I'll take the low road,

    And I'll be in Scotland afore ye;

    But me and my true love

    Will never meet again

    On the bonnie, bonnie banks of Loch Lomond.

    'Twas then that we parted

    In yon shady glen,

    On the steep, steep side of Ben Lomond,

    Where in purple hue

    The Highland hills we view,

    And the moon coming out in the gloaming.

    Oh! ye'll take the high road and

    I'll take the low road,

    And I'll be in Scotland afore ye;

    But me and my true love

    Will never meet again

    On the bonnie, bonnie banks of Loch Lomond.

    The wee birdie sang

    And the wild flowers spring,

    And in sunshine the waters are sleeping,

    But the broken heart it kens

    Nae second Spring again,

    Tho' the waeful may cease frae their greeting.

    Oh! ye'll take the high road and

    I'll take the low road,

    And I'll be in Scotland afore ye;

    But me and my true love

    Will never meet again

    On the bonnie, bonnie banks of Loch Lomond
