I was in a swimming club, i raced against other clubs and i did really good. Suddenly last year, i got a huge fear of competion of swimming, because of this, i couldn't do my best at all. So i kinda quit =(. Everytime i thot of swimming i got shivers.

But ever since i was watching the olympics, i realized that i had made a huge mistake in my life so i had to fix it. The whole month, my dad and i went to lane swim and i hav been practising. This year i plan to go back to my swimming club and i am so confident that i will do my very best in all of the meets. I dont care if i come in first or last, il do my best.

My questoin, if i work really hard, do you still think that i can become a really good swimmer and maybe.... just maybe have a small chance to go to the olympics?

  1. Perhaps this poem will inspire you and erase your doubts.

    On Wings More Delicate

    by James Dillet Freeman

    The butterflies go fluttering by.

How do they know that they can fly?

Had we been only crawling things,

Would we know what to do with wings?

I wonder. Still I think we might.

For we too have our hopes of flight.

    Though of a different kind

Since ours is mainly in our mind.

We have to trust ourselves on less

    Than even air or emptiness

    On wings more delicately wrought

    Than butterflies'--mere wings

    of thought--

    But oh,sometimes with what surprise

    How exquisitely high we rise!

  2. Good for you!  It's fantastic that you're at it again!  Way to go!  Of course you can climb back up to where you want to be.  One of the best ways I've used to help attain a goal is to use The Rule of 5- do 5 things every day- above and beyond the norm- to help you achieve your goal.  What if you did 10?  15?  Good luck!
