You think i should wear eyeshadow with my eyeliner?

see i like doing my makeup with a pink lip and then this:

but yeah, mom said i need to wear eyeshadow too, or no top eyeliner at all'

what do you think?

Because of the angle of the picture it is a little hard to tell the exact shape of your eye and how deep of a lid space you actually have.  In my opinion though, the liquid eye liner looks to heavy for your eye lid.  It appears in the photo to be taking up to much of your lid area.   I think if you are going to line the upper lid, try using an eye pencil and going for a line closer in to the eye lash ridge.  As far as shadow goes, shadow can be a nice touch.  Looking at your picture, I'd recommend natural earth tones.   Use the darker color at the outer corner (toward the temples), not going any further than 1/3 into the lid area, chose a second medium-light color to sweep from the inner corner (tear duct) to 1/3 in toward the center of the lid.  Chose the lightest color to fill in the center of the lid and to brush as a highlight up under your eye brown line.  (For this I would use a nearly flesh color shadow.)  Then sweep the shadow brush over each lid lightly to blend.

i wear my eyeliner just like that for day but i do put on eyeshadow BUT not necessarily on the whole lid.. just take a really light color like peach or white and and sweep it underneath your eyebrows just to high light your eyes..... For evening however definitely play  up with some eye shadow!!

A light wash of color won't hurt. Even if its a tint of something that will brighten your look or enhance your features would look perfectly swell.

That's not true people definitely do a cat eye look with just eyeliner on top and a bold lip like yours :)

If you want to go for something more dramatic but neutral than what I do sometimes is put black eyeshadow on too... just on the lid, it looks real nice.
