You think it's ok if a two year old learns to sleep on it's own

My girlfriend's toddler has to sleep with us before it goes to sleep

maybe she just likes being close to her child. im sorry but her kid comes before you. if she is not ready to put the baby in his/her own bed then deal with it! personally if i was not affraid of my 15 month old daughter falling off the bed in the middle of the night i would let her sleep with me instead of on her own. also it is VERY RUDE to refer to a child as "it" next time try saying him or her.

Maybe she doesn't like "that thing" in her house....ya know, you. Don't call a toddler an "it".

Ok there's a problem here if you are calling your girlfriends son an IT. He is a child.

Yes, two-year-olds are capable of sleeping on their own, but if this child is used to it they may need to be introduced slowly to their own room/bed.

PS It is a little disturbing that you call the child "it" instead of "he' or "she".
