  1. I DONT THINK NO BOXER COULD OF BEAT ROY JONES IN HIS PRIME AND IM MEXICAN.. ROY JONES AT HIS PRIME WAS A BEAST WITH A SUPER SMOOTH BOXING STYLE THAT NOBODY HAD SEEN, HIS HEAD MOVEMENT AND FOOTWORK WAS FFF CRAZY.. HE HARDLY EVER PUT HIS GUARD UP OR BLOCKED.. HE DANCED AROUND THE RING HIT U WITH SUPER CLEAN COMBOS AND MADE HIS OPPENENT LOOK STUPID.. I USE TO ALWAYS WATCHED ROY JONES FIGHT BECAUSE OF HIS BOXING STYLE.. HE LOOKED LIKE HE COULD BOX FIGHTERS WITH ONE HAND BEHIND HIS BACK AND BEAT THEM..  MARGARITO RIGHT NOW WOULD OBVIOUSLY BEAT ROY.. BUT ROY IN HIS PRIME B4 HE STARTED HANGING AROUND WITH RAPPERS AND B4 HE STARTED MAKIN RETARDED RAP SONGS, WOULD OF OBVIOUSLY DESTROYED MARAGARITO.

  2. Jones Jr was too big, quick & just was an outstanding boxer.   Margaritto doesn't seem to get hurt by 147 pound fighters but Roy fought at 201 lbs when he won the heavyweight championship.   Do you remember when Trinidad was KOing  all the lighter weight fighters & they said he should fight Roy.   They were one fight away from doing that & then Hopkins Ko'd Trinidad.   Roy would have destroyed Margarito & not to take anything away from Margarito but he just lost to Paul Williams about 1 year ago before beating Cotto.

  3. i like him and said he would give Cotto h**l for 12 Rds he did better than that stopped him..

But ask yourself this 3 months ago would of asked this Question?? no you would not but thats boxing... You see what has happed to all them Cotto fans? thats right they are Margorito fans now....He is good but not as good as some  think...same as cotto it was his 1st war but at times looked 10 times as good as MARGO

No Jones would of made it look like a sparring session.. Margo is good and can fight but Jones was well be a long time if we see a Roy Jones jr in the ring again.

  4. Unfortunately not. Jones Jr. too fast and too good.

  5. Roy Jones in his prime would have probably beaten any one in their prime Jones has been the best in 3 different weights for over 15 years and in the pound for pound for over 10 years  no one else has ever done that Roy Jones is now only half of what he was and is still in the pound for pound shake up and is probable the best in his weight which he will show when he beats Calzaghe when Jones retires he will leave a big hole which won't be filled for many years to come we are witnessing the end of a true legend with outstanding skills and abilities

  6. Mannnnnnn. Roy would destroy him....with the speed and power...and even though Margarito would press the issue of coming forward, Roy wouldnt get tired like Cotto..To tell you the truth..@ 154 0r 160, I can see Roy possibly knocking Margarito out from taking to many shots to the body & head unlike Cotto who was just head hunting...

  7. roy jones like floyd mayweather and muhammad ali sucks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  8. roy jones never fought at 147, so margarito would have had to move up to middleweight, and jones in his prime would have outclassed him.

  9. No way. Not a chance. Roy would would still beat him now. Hes naturally too big. Could Margarito beat John Ruiz?

  10. Oh, h**l nah!!!

Roy Jones Jr. in his prime was fighting at middleweight, super middleweight and light heavyweight. Margarito has been fighting welterweights and could probably do okay at junior middleweight as well.

Jones' quickness was faster than a lot of those who were below his own divisions, which would definitely be a problem for Margarito. There would also be a noticable strength difference, which favors Jones. Margarito is not going to successfully walk around and take punches from Jones the same way he has been taking them from welterweights.

If Miguel Cotto managed to keep Margarito to under thirty connect percentage, then Jones who is a better counter-puncher and have held opponents to low connect percentage would surely do the same.

  11. Margarito is easily hit not very fast and pretty basic in his boxing ability. He was able to beat Cotto and other Welterweights because he was just so big, coming into the ring on fight night 10 to 20 lbs heavier then he should have been.

Roy Jones was a middleweight and Super middleweight during his prime and went as far as going to heavyweight to take a title.

Margarito might make it to the late rounds, but getting hit by Jones wouldnt be the same as getting hit by Cotto.

    Jones Jr 5th round knockout.

  12. Manny consider Jone Jr as the boxer who had the best skills ever, manny consider Jones Jr impossible to hit with solid punch in his prime, I mean if you aint never seen Jones fight ok, but you shouldnt be asking this question, Jones has the power, speed, defense, counters conditioning and style over Margarito, most likely a first round KO if toni has to move up 10-15 pounds

  13. they are completely different weight divisions,
