  1. I have seen the light of 1000 stars but none so bright as the light within!

  2. That quote was obviously written by someone who had never gone hungry, or lived in a crime infested neighborhood.

  3. I'm frightened of humanities potential/power...

Once I attempted 'not to be'. It was one night at the beginning of Shabbat. I was 18 years old and I was living in the Jewish community during one year in Neuilly/S/Seine (92, Paris) looking for job. When I got a job my Jewish boss didn't pay my salary and I was very upset. I was accepted as a full member of the community until the members discovered (three days before my suicide attempt) that I was not a Jewish woman (because my boss told them of my origins) as they had tended to believe one Jewish relative's ears of mine at the beginning of my stay there. Consequently, the members demanded from me to leave after Shabbat.

So I was so despaired that I gulped 20 sleep pills with whisky and I found myself in the state of the dying person. Religious Jewish people believe that keeping Shabbat is more valuable than saving the life of a dying GOY (see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/39_categori... Two days after the event some members threw me away in a street far away from the community.

One stranger found me 'lying down' unconscious in the street and called an ambulance immediately. At the hospital I found myself in a coma for one month; fortunately I had recovered from my suicide attempt (my good angel saved me). During my recovery from, a police officer asked me about the event. So I told him the true, but the members' community denied (of course) all responsibilities for that event and also suppressed all the evidences about my stay at their place (in which I had spent a period of time). It's the very true story; I have their names, their addresses…

  4. no im not frightened by my own potential nor am i frightened by humanities potential...

what scares me is our ignorance in thinking we have so much potential...

yeah were doing pretty good on this little rock 3rd from the sun... but not that good... i mean weather kicks our *** on daily basis

with the universe being infinite there are an infinite amount of alien races out there dumber than us that wont make out of hunting gathering... but there are also infinite amount of alien races out there smarter than us and that have already far exceeded our potential...

we need to put things into perspective... before we start claiming greatness
