Who in the h**l gave cops the right to arrest someone for photographing the weather? Where does this stop?

If you can be thrown in jail every time you're doing something dangerous, why the f___k aren't we all in jail for driving a car!!

More people die in car accidents than photographing clouds.

I'm sick of this tyranny. What can we do to make these self-annointed deities a.k.a. pigs keep their filthy hands off the citizenry????

  1. Amazing, absolutely amazing...it never ceases to fascinate and disturb me that some of the people in authority are some of the most volatile and unstable.

Not all police are abusive pigs, although shining examples like this sometimes make that hard to believe.  I have met good officers that joined the police force to help make the community a safer place while earning a living.  And I have met others, regretfully, that are nothing more than school bullies who grew up and became cops because they like to push people around.

The deputy in this news article is an idiot, pure and simple.  He seems to enjoy throwing his weight around and should not be in any position of authority.  I hope he gets thrown off the police force.  Men like him do a disservice to the good officers out there.

By the way, I do not believe that it is anyone's right to stop a consenting adult from doing a dangerous activity.  If someone dies because they weren't wearing a seatbelt, were photographing a storm or surfing during a hurricane (my brother enjoys that, by the way) then that was their choice to make, their life to lose.  Freedom comes with rights and consequences--one of those rights is the right to engage in hazardous activities without having one's freedom taken away and the consequence is that if one chooses to do this, he might just die from it.  Freedom doesn't involve being safe from oneself, that's fascism.

  3. People are idiots that is why he took the guy in... just because he says he is doing something for the Weather Channel doesn't make it so.  Does the guy have an credentials? If not the Weather channel needs to start issuing them and add that this person takes full responsibility for an harm that comes to him.

The problem is people are like sheep they see one person stopped they will stop; if the tornado had come by and swept the lot of them to their death the deputy would have been in trouble for not moving them to safety.

People will run out to see a tsunami coming in.. not having a clue it could sweep them out to sea and their death. I am sure the deputy was high on adrenlin scared for the safety of people and himself.  Do you actually blame him?
