I am over here stationed in Italy and it is roughly 7 dollars a gallon. Now we are issued cash coupons and that runs us $92 for 100 liters, which is 26.41 gallons. We are allowed 300 liters a month.

  1. Italy is small, has a great mass transit system, and is community oriented AND that is why their gas prices are higher.

They can charge Italy $7 a gallon because they dont depend on gas as much as we do. They have efficient cars that get 40+ MPG.

The US can buy in greater bulk, because we drive our cars everywhere. It is economics.

  2. About $72.00 a week. hurts but i gots to do it!

  3. Good Luck

Im glad that they are charing you more

    I have some good advice

    GET ON A BUS

  4. Most people in Europe do not depend on their cars the way Americans do.  Europe has relatively good public transit systems and shorter distances due to higher population density.  Development patterns have also been different.  You don't see American-style cookie-cutter suburban communities in Europe, so it is much easier to walk places.  In the US, the majority of all adults have driver's licenses.

  5. Considering we're the ones that have fought for the oil with Saddam... It should be like that...GO USA!!!

  6. when you think about what gas can do its quite cheep

a gallon of this liquid can move a 3 ton object 15 miles in 15 minutes thats a lot more energe then the 20oz of coffey you had or the 20oz pop you paid $.99 for

  7. If you did that over here the economy would go bust. Many of our working poor (and we have a bunch) only make around $800. a month after taxes & pay half or more for rent alone. Those that are on welfare or social security make much less.

Where I live is next door to a major refinery yet we pay more than some places hundreds of miles away from one. That's what really gripes me considering this region is one of the poorest in the states.

If we had to pay that much businesses would have to pay more to get employees, groceries would be higher & forget any extras.
