Young Actors Camp in California?

I want to go so badly, you have no idea. I have been serious about acting since I was about 9, but I have been acting since I was 6 (community plays)I have to gone to open casting calls, but since I cant really afford an agent, nothing else. It is so expensive, but the camp discription looks amazing. Its really expensive, but I already have about 1000 dollars saved up, and if I work really hard and dont spend any money, I think I could earn it (4900 dollars.) SO I guess my question is, is it worth it? It totally seems like it. http://www.youngactorscamp.com/SRCamp.htm

I would really want to get into the Sesion 1, but whats the interview like. Would I be considered a "serious actor?" What ways could I earn some money besides babysitting? Help!

  1. you mean the Y.A.C  in california..  it costs $1690... and you dont need an agent... if you meen the 1 week camp..

im also thinking of going next year..but wait.. is it the senior camp or the junior camp?

  2. Well if you can't afford it.

You should just continue doing work for community plays, than you'll get experience from it.

For agents you do not "pay" them. They just get 10-20% of the earnings you get from the jobs that the agents booked for you.

Of course the camp description is "amazing" its advertising-its supposed to lure young actors(consumers).

Here are two links from the Better Business Bureau about the camp (according to the camp and BBB website its owned by The Inspire Me Corp).
