Young Finches in My Aviary Killed Dominent Male..?

I had one very dominent male finch with one passive male and two females. Of course they breeded and I now have 10 finches. I believe the young finches ganged up on the dominent male and killed him. Is this possible?

  1. Only YOU can control the breeding of these birds.  Lessen daylight hours, remove the nest and cut down on the abundance of food.  Now you have too many birds.  Did you witness the 'killing'?

    The birds bred not breeded.

I do not think young finches would do this unless under terrible stress like too crowded, which you also can control.  Read up on finch husbandry and find homes for the young finches.  Sad story.
