Young Irish and British stars in the English Premier League (Part 1)
The English Premier League is loaded with really young Irish and British players. Most of these players are under the age of 21 but have a lot of them have proven the skills they possess and knowledge about football.
However if we had to downsize it to around ten young players that have really been in the spot light in the recent past, the following players would instantly come into our minds.
Jack Wilshere is the youngest gunner in the Arsenal team at this point. The English boy may have a relatively smaller physique than others but he has really supported and moulded the gunner’s midfield area.
He is none other than Jack Wilshere, the English boy who has made it to Arsenal and has also now been made a part of the England squad. He is known for his long accurate passing along with making some great plays. At just 18 years of age he has made quite
an impression and has made many feel that he will remain in the centre position for the blasting gunners for years ahead.
The 21-year-old boy is a real trouble maker for all rights-backs in the league. The young Irishman is probably among the most destructive left side footballers in the league these days. His powerful body structure allows him to really storm through the left
side of the field and is known for his on the spot crosses.
Gareth Bale is the player that has no doubt brought himself in the limelight by really strengthening Tottenham Hotspurs left wing side.
The boy truly made his impression as a force to be reckoned with when he would enter the match in the latter stages of the game and would dominate the left side position in last year’s season. This year is no different. Bale is a powerful young lad who has
the skill to back the power.
His long body gives him a very destructive look when he speeds through the left wing. Right backs are usually baffled week in and week out by his overall charisma and presence.
He has been becoming better after each game and is ever improving the skills he already possesses. At his young age, Bale is part of a great club that is known for upsetting the best of teams on their day. He is also a regular part of the Wales team.
The third player would have to be the talented and composed 18-year-old English boy, Phil Jones. He made his mark in the Premiership when he blew up on the pitch and really showcased his potential by his playing tactics at the centre-half position. In 2010,
Jones has become more adaptable. He is seen in the heart of the Blackburn Rovers outfit.
Phil’s calm and collected character as a football player has allowed him to control the ball with great efficiency in the midfield area. The keen youngster is looking to establish himself as a cool and authoritative player all together.
He is quite the spectacle in the air as well. His maturity for his age is really very surprising. At 18 years of age, he is an important part of the under 21 English side and has almost cemented his position with the Rovers.
The next player is also a part of the U-21 England side and is a part of the unpredictable Aston Villa. The 20-year-old has not held back in impressing the viewers with his crafty style of play. He is a right side winger who has become a regular starter
for Aston Villa.
His consistent performances have earned him the privilege of starting all the games in this season for Villa. Marc Albrighton is yet another England U-21 starter who is playing for Villa. He is blessed with natural pace and loves to show his speed off. His
cunning style of play and speed make him a deadly winger. He will reach left backs at high speeds leaving them defenceless.
