Young Irish and British stars in the English Premier League (Part 2)
Moving on in the countdown, a devastating striker in the form of Andy Carroll has astonishing shot power along with the ability to finish cleanly.
At aged 21, Carroll’s game has turned him into a crowd favourite. He is quick to release his mighty shoots and plays the game like there’s no tomorrow.
If Newcastle fans had any concerns over his inclusion in the side as a centre forward, they must be gone after he managed to pull off a beautiful hatrick of goals against Aston and add four other goals in this season. If he continues like this, Carroll may
damage opposition defences throughout the season. He has been simply excellent in his strikes.
The sixth young star in the list of superb young British and Irish players is from Ireland. The Irish marvel is an attacking player. He is most likely the only one good thing going on for a worn out Everton side. He is a very aggressive right back, always
eager to come forward and assist with the forwards – an ability that makes Carroll an ideal player to have in any side.
Next up is wondrous Irishman Seamus Coleman. At 21 years of age, he is a complete player who has excellent control over the ball and can make dangerous and gutsy plays for his side.
He was handed over to Blackpool last season for a brief duration. During his time with the side, he played a major part in their success and bringing the club into focus.
Seamus is likely to make the senior level and join the senior Irish side. It is also likely that Everton will greatly benefit from youthful energy as he will bring with him to the team. Coleman has been playing since the under 14 level.
He has been groomed in a very impressive manner. He has excelled in different aspects of the game. Whether it is passing or shooting, attacking or defending, Coleman brings a lot to the game. He has also impressed in Irish Republics U 21 side showcasing
his versatility.
Seventh on the list is a local English lad who has truly helped the Black Cats with 30 plus league appearances for the club. 20 year old Jordan Henderson looks to shine with Sunderland this season.
His performance in the midfield helps gel the team together, making the attackers and defenders into one single unit by providing exception midfield control. His timing is impeccable and mostly remains relaxed in pressure situations. Sunderland’s coach is
thrilled about having the boy on his side and looks forward to see the depth he will bring in their midfield.
Up next is 19 year old Jack Rodwell. At such a young age, he has already made a name for himself on the international stage. He is easily amongst Everton’s greatest creations. His striking talent has already made big teams think of him. Rodwell has received
attention from the best in the league.
Jack is a very strong striker with a very long range. At just 19, he has already made 50 Premiership appearances. So he has tons of experience. It is only a matter of time when he will be picked up by one the best clubs in the world. Everton however realize
what they have and will not let go of Rodwell that easily.
Josh McEachran at 17 years of age is a force to be reckoned with. Among the youngest players to play first division football, he is truly a sight to watch. He is already a part of the best side in the Premiership.
Chelsea noticed something special about the 17 year old footballer and picked him up. The predictions for him are huge. He has already played at some of the biggest events in the world such as the Champions league and the Carling Cup.
He has shown signs of what to expect from him in the future. However, he still has a lot to learn. What is truly commendable is that he has begun his first division career in the English Premier with the number one team in the league, that is, Chelsea.
Last but not least he is one of the brilliant left backs that Arsenal has ever produced. His agile reflexes and quickness with the ball make him an unstoppable defender.
He is renowned for his attacking streak but has been making sure he becomes better at the back as well. He is Kieran Gibbs who is already a part of England’s national side. He is definitely a young player to look out for. With only a few league appearances,
Gibbs is a promising talent.
It is truly astonishing to see the amount of youngsters that have exploded in the Premier league. It shows the amount of work that is being done at the junior level. There is always a pool of young and talented players emerging onto the scene season after
season.
It is a great prospect for the game itself. These brilliant youngsters are an inspiration for all aspiring young football players. There is proof that if they work hard enough and become good enough, there is no reason why they cannot make the big stage.
