(Young Ladies) Why are you not close to your mother?

I see so many questions on here that start with 'I am not close to my mother so I can't ask her'. Why is this?

i have a good relationship w/ my mom. but there are somethigns i can tell her & then there are some things i cant. why? cuz shes my mother NOT my friend

my mtoher is a cold heart greedy money loving bi@#$. period.

she has her moments i think she is almost normal, but no, anything she does is money driven. h**l, we picked her up from jail last year cuz she was caught stealing a purse--and she has money doesn't need it!

i wish we had a gilmore girls type relationship- but that's a dream that'll stay a dream. its too late for her too attempt it, i know what kind of person she really truely is on the inside..

and it does break my heart to say this..

i think its part of growing up TODAY. some girls really aren't close to their mothers because they find it irritating to talk with them, because they hang out with their friends most of the time. and they can relate more to their friends their age....

Uhhh well because were not.......she always is acting like a freakin r****d.....

Examples:

               1. She still thinks my dads personel(fiance who she doesnt

                    like) buisness is her buisness to..and there divorced

               2. She wakes up at midnight comes in my room and tells

                   me to paint her nails...then I say NO and she is like ur

                   rude...BUT ITS MIDNIGHT WEN IM SLEEPING..

               3. SHE IS A NOSY BUTT WHO LIKES TO SNOOP

                   but doesnt admit to it....

               4. Just plain doesnt understand me!!!

idk some kids just dont get close to there mom, maybe there close to there dad or maybe they have family problems. i can tell my mom almost anything but u no some girls have a tough time with there mom. and yea i agree with the girl with the girl below me...shes ur mom, its not like shes gunna be ur bff lol. so there r just some things u dont tell ur mom.

When a woman is an adult, she relates to her mother

as an adult, that is what I can teach you.

As an adult she chooses whom to disclose her

personal life with.  It does not need to be the mother.

I am not close to my mother because she tries to compete with me and I find it laughable and embarrasing. I think she read that book about women having a second adulthood but her behaviour for the most part is not adult it is juvenile.

kids are not close to their mother because they want to be run their life's because they think they know everything but the day comes when their braincell fill in and then they know that they didn't know everything.

well im no close to my mom because my dad just died and i was a daddys girl and they were divorced and didint get along at all.....i just for some reason feel my mother doesnt want to hear wat i have to say so i just dont tell her.........but thats just me

My mother and i are very close...I remember when i was younger it wasn't the case, i didn't like her much.  Now all is good and we share a house, just wish she would stop trying to clean my bedroom i cant find anything.
