Manchester United’s winger, Ashley Young has gone on to insist that England have a very good chance of winning the upcoming Euro 2012.
Young believes that http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/England-c749 are going to go into the Euro’s high on confidence and give the way they qualified for the competition, they could easily go on and win the tournament, should they play their cards right.
When talking about the upcoming competition and how England managed to qualify for it in style, the attacker is reported to have said: “If you look at the way we qualified out of the group it wasn’t an easy group but we qualified in some style.”
“Some of the football we played and some of the wins we had were fantastic and I think when the tournament comes around everyone is going to be fully fit, prepared in the right way and I think we can do really well.”
He then went on to admit that if everyone played the way they did in the qualification round, then the team was more than likely to end up going a long way.
“As long as everyone is going to be at it and everyone is pulling in the right direction like we were during qualification it will be a fantastic tournament.”
He was then asked about how he felt Roy Hodgson was going to manage the team, to which he responded by stating that he wasn’t sure, but based on his track record and how fondly everyone spoke of him, thinks were more than likely to work out.
“I don’t know him but you look at his track record and from talking to a few players that have worked under him and they say he is a great manager and a great person,” he continued.
Hodgson now needs to finalize his squad list for the tournament and at the same time, he needs to try and get his tactics across to the England squad.
The team and the manager have not yet met, following his appointment, but they are bound to end up talking out just how they will approach the coming tournament, once the Premier League comes to an end.
