A modicum of consistency since his arrival at Olympique de Marseille from AS Monaco last summer, Cameroon international, Nicolas N’Koulou has become one of the pillars of the club. The speed with which the 21-year-old has adapted himself to the Rhone club
has been surprising and many clubs are now noticing the youngster’s performances.
The likes of English Premier League side http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Arsenal-c38429 and Newcastle United are already keeping tabs on the youngster. N’Koulou on the other hand, knows about the interest he has garnered and while talking to L’Equipe, gave a blunt view on his ambitions.
“I need to learn to express myself. I do not want to leave this summer. I see myself playing for several years at OM,” confessed the former AS Monaco man before talking about his ambitions.
“Like all players, I really want to myself playing with the best one day. Real Madrid, Barcelona, Manchester City are the best today. Manchester United are also there but I still have a lot to prove.”
The former Monaco man is still keen on doing his best for Marseille and said that he wants to achieve big things with Les Phoceens and ruled out a move away from the Stade Velodrome without achieving any things.
With fellow countryman Stephane Mbia, N’Koulou has formed one of the best centre-back partnerships in French Ligue 1.
The start of the 2011/2012 Ligue 1 campaign was a testing time for both Marseille and N’Koulou. However, the youngster still performed well in a crisis situation.
Souleymane Diawara’s recent performances had forced Didier Deschamps into looking for a new partner for Stephane Mbia (who was initially a midfielder). In N’Koulou the Frenchman has found a good young defender who is eager to prove his worth to the team
and has so far, done a great http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Job-c18684.
Under contract at the Rhone club until 2015, N’Koulou could stay at the club as long as his contract does not expire but would certainly leave when he realises his true potential.
