Alright, I'm having some trouble answering these questions in the story, "Young Goodman Brown," by Nathaniel Hawthorne....

Faith's pink ribbons are an example of:

1. Genre

2: parable

3: fable

4: symbol....

In "Young Goodman Brown," What is meant by a hoary corpse?

1: respected person

2: extremely old dead person

3: promiscuous person

4. A lonely man

Please answer for me. It would really help.

  1. By process of elimination, I'd say the ribbons are a symbol (if you look up the definitions of those words, I think you'll agree).

For the second one, look up "hoary" in the dictionary.  It's gotta be 2, especially because of "corpse."
