Question:

Young guy can't seem to keep erection...

I never experience spontaneous erections anymore (I'm 25 and feel that I should be). No morning erections at all. When I'm with a girl, I cannot get hard which causes a lot of mental stress which makes it worse.

My GP prescribed Viagra without doing any type of investigation. I want to know if this is physical or mental.

I do m********e frequently, but even then have difficulty maintaining the erection.

Please let me know what you think.

  1. Since you seem overly concerned about it, I bet a large factor of your inability to maintain an erection is based on stress. Though, I can't say for sure, since I'm not a doctor. If the Viagra is working, then great. It has very low side effects, and will allow you to lead a very normal life. However, if it is not working as well as you want it to, I'd recommend talking to your doctor about the possibility of stress or other causes. As far as your spontaneous erections go, I've lost nearly all of mine, and I'm 17. So I wouldn't worry too much about that.

  2. Go on Web MD and look at the Erectile Dysfunction Overview. Here is some of it, "Erectile dysfunction or ED is the inability to achieve or sustain an erection suitable for sexual intercourse. Problems with erections may stem from medications, chronic illnesses, poor blood flow to the p***s, drinking too much alcohol, or being too tired. Lifestyle changes, medications, and other treatments are often used to treat ED." I hope this helps.

  3. Any cholesterol drugs or blood pressure drugs? Do you eat soy products? You need to eat natural foods high in nutrients, protein, and saturated fat. Yes the supposedly healthy low fat diet is a big problem.

The modern health fad is guaranteed to give you low testosterone. Have it checked.  Warning, supplementing testosterone will shut down what ever amount that your body IS making. You will not want to stop once you start.

    Good luck,

  4. I doubt it's mental, since you're having the same problem even when you m********e.

If this problem occured suddenly (like before you could get hard easily and all of a sudden you can't) and could be a physical problem other than erectile dysfunction. Did you GP do a full body check on you?

Once you've ruled out that, I think you should do one more test run when you're with a girl. Tell yourself you're going to get it up, you know, that stuff. Confidence boosters. Relax completely. If still no erection, then you need Viagra.

  5. Its mental, your thinking about it too much, before you start doing your business...so to speak, clear you mind..and concentrate, h**l watch p**n if you have too.

you mention you m********e frequently? i'm presuming you've been doing it for many years, if so, you may just be fed up of it!, take a break from masturbating for a week or two, and the sexual urges should come back and with the viagra you will be one hard bloke =]
