look around, most people in this age bracket either have no hopes or plans for the future, or dont feel like they are good enough to think that way.... sad but evidently true, rapidly were seeing young people become dole-bludgers, or adults who just dont care for passionate living anymore....

It all starts with the person in the mirror.

do you have plans for your future?

do you believe in yourself?

have you got a vision as to where you want to see yourself in 1, 5, 10 years?

what inspires you?

do you have a dream?

i do. Its helping people from this low self esteem, lazy, visionless generation rise up and live awesome, purpose filled lives!!!

  1. I think everyone has dreams, everyone starts out with plans, but they get kicked in the teeth over and over to where they feel that their dreams are an impossibility.  We are a society that doesn't nurture dreams unless they fit a little, passionless, mold.  All other dreams have to be fought for.

I have plans for my future, though, yes, I too have low self esteem and low self confidence... I don't believe in my Self, I believe in what I can Do, if that makes any sense.

I know where I want to be in life next year, the year after, and after that... I can see where I want to be, the struggle is creating that life.  It's an act of creation which requires some artistry.

Yes, I have a dream.  I want to write a book that changes things... that changes something, maybe the way people think.  I want to have some effect on this world, for the better, through my art.  Not sure if I'll ever succeed, but the fact is that if you ever want to see your dreams through, you can't give up.  Sure, I have a crappy-crappy job (I work in fast food.  Hah.  The pinnacle of things I detest about our culture, and have to endure people thinking that I'm just some stupid fast food worker too stupid to do anything else with her life... people who think I can't read, that I'm akin to the sock lint between their toes...) but I don't ever give up that I can change my life.  Gradually, I'm getting more and more articles published, and selling more paintings.  That's what dreams are:  a graduated effort.

  2. I think you need better eyesight.

Kids all over the place are helping the poor, pushing for environmental initiatives, demanding peace, working in political campaigns for change.

It's not the 60's all over again, but it's close enough.

I have no concerns about the youth of today - they'll handle the leadership role when it's time for them to assume it.

  3. Dreams are for sleeping, fortunately some

are wise enough to have a goal when they

wake up, unfortunately others are obsessed,

    with the snooze button . . .

  4. Well, from age 14 to 30 is three different generations. 1968-1980 is Generation X: 1980-1994 is Generation Y; 1995-2002 is the The Millennial Generation.

Someone born in 1978 to someone who was born in 1994 have had a very different way of growing up. I was born in 1979 and didn't get a computer in school until 1997, we didn't have cell phones, text messaging, the internet was brand new; a 14 year old has had all of that when they were born.

My generation was taught hard work pays off, someone born in 1995 has had every amenity handed to them.

I do have plans and I am going to college to have them realized. I have hope; it's the other generations I worry about.
