  1. Chech it out, This election is extemely important to all Americans. It not about race, ethnicity, or gender its about a dying country our economy has fallen soarly in the past few years. We need someone who will look at this nation in the eyes of its beholder and make good decisions. Not for the rich or the poor or the middle class coming up, but who will be there for all Americans. I honestly believe Obama will help this country bring its head above water. Read yahoo news there are so many good articles. It is good to see you taking this issue serious.

  2. I've been voting since 1968. And in every election I vote for who ever I think will do the least damage to the country. In this one I will be voting for McCain.

I do not like high taxes. I do not like socialism. I do not want the boneheads in government running (ruining) my health care. I do not want umpteen new government programs s******g things up for good people. I do not want more of the same old corruption (Joe Biden).

  3. It is interesting the answers you have gotten and clear that most  of the younger generation who have answered are too blind sided by visions of grandeur to really be able to see the inconsistencies in their candidates words.

For example genius (although not part of the very young generation any longer) says of Obama "...called for a time table for withdrawal from Iraq and McCain laughed at the notion. Now the Bush Administration has began implementing a time table for withdrawal".

Do we not remember that in the last election John Kerry also called for a time table withdrawal? Kerry wanted to yank the troops out within four months of his inauguration. If Kerry had been elected what would Iraq look like now? Would we have seen a horrible civil war insue? Would the Taliban and Iran have moved in and now be in control of Iraq? And what would that mean for the Iraqi people today?

Clearly Iraq was not ready then to have us leave. Furthermore the Bush administration has only begun discussing a withdrawal because the Iraqi government has insisted on it, they feel apparently that they have come to a time when they are ready to take control of their own country. This has nothing to do with Obama, he did not implement this plan nor is he in the position to carry it out. Obama has been calling for a withdrawal for many years now, the fact that eventually we would leave does not imply that he was correct.

    Here’s another one from genius:

" And of course, Obama wants to lower taxes for 95% of Americans...".

Now let's think about that, it sounds wonderful, but if 95% of Americans will pay little or no tax, how is Obama going to pay the 150 billion he says he is going to use for alternative energy exploration? And that is just one project, where are the millions coming from to reform education and healthcare? To invest in the war in Afghanistan? Again these are only a few of the things he proposes that will cost a fortune.

Suzwiz writes that she will vote for McCain because "We can't keep paying for people who didn't come here the right way. I'm sorry for them but I can't afford to pay for them".

I wonder how many people are aware that McCain and Obama's immigration policies are very much alike.

It doesn't seem that the American people are doing THEIR job and that is to research and inquire about the candidates and not be mesmerized by speeches and forget to ask the questions why? how?

Obama for example gives a very good speech, but I have noticed that he either tells you what needs to be done but not how he will do it or he tells you how he will accomplish what needs to be done but it is not possible (such as cutting taxes for most of America and then wanting to spend billions on programs), or he tells you how he will accomplish something but it is the same way that Washington has been accomplishing these problems for years (check out his stance on Afghanistan and Bush's 'Gates of h**l" comments).

  4. NEITHER!!!!!!!! MWAHAHAHAH!!! VOTE FOR ME!!!

  5. McCain sucks! Get us out of Iraq!

  6. OBAMA!!! War on Iraq. Abortion. Alternative energy sources. Tax cuts. Health care. Public education. 1st time by the way.

  7. It's important because we need a president who understands this complicated world.

    I'm 23.

  8. because if Mcain wins I'll move to Canada, jk.

  9. its important to me becuase oh wait IM NOT OLD ENOUGH. d**n laws

  10. That was an election? I thought it was a circus?

  11. I'm 28 years old, and this is my 2nd time voting in a Presidential Election. I am Independent.

My main concern is the economy... inflation, gas prices and food prices. Followed by the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan.

I think Barack Obama has shown to have the correct judgment on BOTH issues. He called for a time table for withdrawal from Iraq and McCain laughed at the notion. Now the Bush Administration has began implementing a time table for withdrawal. And of course, Obama wants to lower taxes for 95% of Americans and McCain wants to lower them for the top 5%, so that's obvious.

    Obama/Biden 08

  12. Not, my first time, but I have never been so excited about casting my ballot, in any election as I do now.

    Obama Rocks.

  13. Well I took a long time thinking about this one for you.  I have to say that most people are looking for change in the governing center of washington,  I think that people are looking in the wrong direction.  Washington dosen't need another mouthpeace supported by scary people like george soros who is definitely supporting Mr. Obama.  I don't know if Mr. Mc Cain has the answers either.  But I do know as an Independant voter that Mr. Obama scares me to death,  I am not sure that communism is the way to go.  Washington in general needs to be abolished.  We don't need all those senators and congressmen eating up our tax dollars with their pensions and free health care.  Do you know how much money we would save if our Governors represented us in washington instead of all that washington riffraff.  Most of those people have made a career out of washington,  which i'm sure our forefathers never intended.  Old people like Nancy pelosi and ted kennedy,,yuk even on the republican side old senators like jessie helms he died in office.  anyway if people stopped voting for incumbents and let new younger people run for office it would be better.  I hope you do alot of reading and are able to make up your own mind about what you are going to do.  I have to tell you that I will vote for Mc Cain only because I just can't afford to pay all those taxes with Mr. Obama.  Taxes are not the answer for this country.  We can't keep paying for people who didn't come here the right way.  I'm sorry for them but I can't afford to pay for them.  Anyway good luck to you, you sound like an intelligent young person.
