  1. Olympus E410

    LOVE IT!

I feel like I have had the camera all my life.  I love the buttons placement, the small size, the options, The photo quality, The price, 2 different memory card slots, The lay out, It feels well made and solid. It is the perfect DSLR for me.  I switched from an old 35mm SLR to this DSLR and the switch was so easy.  I love it.  It might not be for everyone but it is perfect for me.

Only think I don't like is the price of the lenses. due to the new 4/3 system there are only a few to pick from but they are high quality and light.  So it just means I have to save my money for them.

  2. I've been using a Canon 20D at work all summer and liked it so much I just bought a 30D. I like the 30D even better!

My favorite part about these cameras is the way the controls are laid out. I find it very easy and very natural to change any settings I need to in a matter of seconds.

  3. Nikon D40. Yes -- I like it a lot. It's easy to use, and takes great pictures with the kit lens provided. It gives you a lot of flexibility in controlling the imaging parameters without a lot of rare-to-never used features.

  4. EOS400.

I like the bang per buck.  There are better cameras, but this does just about everything I need for the money.

Best of all it integrates with my exsisting film gear (EOS 3 with canon L lenses)

  5. EOS 450D. Small, compact, intuitive, great point and shoot and even better in the manual modes. Fast to charge. Do not want to put it down. 5000 shots in under 2x months using only 60mm macro

  6. Sony A-100. The body is image stabilized not the lens. Every lens I put on will be stabilized and cheaper too.

  7. Nikon D300 and D3.  They do a better job shooting for "deadline" clients like newspapers and magazines than 35 mm SLRs

There are still clients that need what only transparency film can provide.

I will be testing a new D700 in a few weeks.  I am sure it will be a grand experience.
