In NASCAR!!!!

I'm 13 years old and I've been training on go-carts because I want to become a GIRL NASCAR driver when I am older. I've been saving my money and when I am older and I get my license I am going to train at the Pocono Raceway,PA. But I need your opinion and help!

Do you think I will get sponsored by someone even though I am a girl? And if you know anybody who sponsors someone please tell me. Thank-you

I don't think your sponsorship will be affected b/c of your gender. If you are a good enough driver, you will get sponsored.

By the time you're ready for Sprint Cup (which may be Smoke Cup by then). women will be accepted as normal for the sport. As will minorities.

Good drivers get good sponsors- and make some good friends while you're at it!

I don't think it would matter if you're a girl.

It would depend on if a team finds you and thinks you are talented.

Sponsors would probably care more about talent.

I'm guessing everything will revolve around talent.

Your working towards a HUGE goal. Dont let those who want to see you fail, keep you from getting you 'Checkerd Flag'.

There is products out there that someone will want advertised. And if they see your talent.. They will be intouch with your people.

I know of good sponsors-

Look for Alignment shops and other car repair stores.  Look in the owners office if you see short track pictures and trophy's ask for sponsorship.  Even if they only give you a hundred bucks put their name on you car and thank them.  When you win call each one of your sponsors and thank them again.  Also look for companies that are kind 'girly' this has worked great for me.  For example, a cupcake store, a local boutique, or even hair salon.  I have found that these people LOVE female racers and want to help.  So far I haven't run across to much sexism as a female racer.  Some drivers will push you but you just have to push back they get the point pretty quick.  Good luck and keep persisting!
