Hey...... i want to know what you guys think about each Sims game. i want to get a new one. i used to have deluxe edition and that was good but that broke and i want to get a better one. so you will be the critic today. =] critisize the ones you think are nessacary to critisize, good or bad. oh yeah... the things i didn't like about my sims game was the sims' ages, it would be nice if they had baby, toddler, child, teen, adult, and elder... or most of them. and i didn't like that there were only limited options of the career you wanted to choose for your sim. in the newspaper there was only one and on the computer there are only 3! Thanks in advance!

  1. I've played the h**l out of the first and second Sims, they're my favorite. When you get into the expansions, like Nightlife, Pets, Business, those topics really smother the gameplay to me. Like the Nightlife in Nightlife is like 95% of the game.

They don't feel like additions, they feel like invations.

  2. OK.

The Sims 2 is going to be something you NEED in order to play they rest on your list because those are ALL expansion packs.

And the 'Sims 2' on its own is acctually a gazillion times better than The sims deluxe. It has both of the things you are looking for...

  3. Okay well a couple of the first ones you named are from sims 1, which I didn't play, so I can't really tell you about them. The rest of them are sims 2, which is much better anyway so I'll try to tell you as much info as i can about the games. Also, yes, you do need the original sims 2 to play the rest of these games. The sims 2 double deluxe is basically the same as the original Sims 2 but it just comes already with Nightlife & Celebration Stuff. It's also much cheaper than getting those 3 games individually.

First of all, in the sims 2 the age stages are: baby, toddler, child, teen (young adult- with The Sims 2 University), adult, and elder. There's different amount of times that you stay at these age stages. For example babies are only that age for 3 days before they age into toddlers. The older you get the longer time you are that age.

As far as careers goes there's about 4 to 5 careers added every expansion pack. In the newspaper you can choose between only 3, but on the computer you can now choose between 5.

    Kay here i go:

    -  University - It's a good game, but I just really think it's boring. It takes a long time to get your sims through college, and then all they do is just graduate and go home.

    - Nightlife - I definitely recommend this! Your sims finally have cars! They can drive around, become vampires, go downtown to clubs, go bowling and more. I just really like this because of the cars.

    - Open For Business - Your sims can own businesses. You can alo have a home businesses, meet new people, and build an empire. It's also a good game, but one of the latest ones is better if you're looking to just get one game.

    - Pets - I like this one because you can get pets. I was just telling my friends today how I wished they'd made more pets though. You can have a cat, dogs (which you can send out and give them daily jobs to bring in more money) fishes, hamster, and a bird

    - Seasons - My favorite e.p. so far! You can have a pond in your backyard and fish some fish for dinner. You finally have leftovers you don't have to cook every single time you're hungry. Just open the fridge and get some food. You can have your little garden and grow tomatoes, strawberries or tend to apple, orange, and lemon trees. And of course seasons change.

    - Bon Voyage - Fun game! You can go to the beach, an asian island, or just go camping with the family. I like this because one of the lot choices in this game is a lot by the beach. So you can just go swimming right in your back yard whenever you feel like it. Discover secret lots and a treasure.

    - Free Time - This is also a good game. Lots of good furniture.  You can have hobbies and play sports like soccer, basketball and I also like the new careers. Dance teacher, architect and some other good ones. You can meet a genie who will grant you three wishes, and also become a part of secret clubs if you get really good at a certain skill.

    - Apartment Life - I just got this game, and so far it's pretty good. There are some new interactions. Pay rent every week, you can live next to annoying neighbors, bang on the walls when they're getting rowdy. Theres some nice playground furniture, like swings and slides. If you're into building theres also some nice build stuff, like ceilings and spiral stairs.

As for the sims complete collection..they're part of sims 1, and I haven't played but heres a link with a cheap one http://www.amazon.com/Sims-Complete-Coll...

    Good Luck
