My opinion is that it is a very long article with a very disappointing chess analogy as the summary.

Seriously, though, it sounds like a good idea. Here's a better one: drill our OWN oil that's on our own land and belongs to us! That way they can keep perfecting methonal so that when the oil is gone, we have something to fall back on.
