Your Texas Hold 'Em "Dream" table??

Question

If you could choose to sit down and play poker with any 8 players (you'd make 9), who would you like to play??

My choices-

1. Phil Hellmuth - I can't stand him but he's one of the best.

2. Phil Ivey - Considered one of the top players in the game today.

3. Doyle Brunson - The living legend.

4. Daniel Negraneu - Well rounded player.

5. Phil Laak - He's my personal favorite. He's hilarious and very good too.

6. Antonio Esfandiari - If Laak is there then his best buds gotta be there too. He and Laak are very under rated in my opinion.

7. Jennifer Harmon - Need 1 female at least. I think she's one of the best.

8. Gus Hansen - Mr. Unpredictable.

I would love to sit and chat and play poker with this amazing group of legends.

But I have no desire to test my poker skills against the best, any more than I have a desire to step into the ring against Mike Tyson.

i'd like to sit and play with 8 guys who have never played the game before...but to actually answer the question seriously, here are my picks

1. phil hellmuth...he's an amazing player, and of course he's great entertainment...one of my personal life dreams is to put a terrible beat on phil and knock him out of a big tournament

2. mike matusow...he is not only great entertainment himself but he would increase phil's entertainment value...he's also a really good player for the most part, but there always seems to be something that stands between him and a major win, whether it be lady luck or himself

3. daniel negreanu...my personal favorite player, and he would be needling both of the first two guys, things would get pretty interesting

4. gus hansen...my second favorite player, i've already told you what i think about his book...must read for anyone looking to improve their tournament game

5. phil ivey...the man i consider to be the best all around poker player in the world

6. doyle brunson...the living legend himself, of course

7. chip reese...i would bring him back from the dead just for this occasion...the man made more money than anyone else in the history of poker, he was one of the most successful overall gamblers in history and at the same time managed to be the epitome of a family man...rip chip

8. jennifer harman...far and away the best female player in the world, and has some of the most uncanny instincts anywhere

LOL  I wouldn't want to play at that table. I play p[oker to make money. I want to play with the biggest fish in the sea. I have my list from poker starts of who I would like to play with but don't think I will share it :-)

I wouldn't want to play with these guys. but just to sit around and chat, I'd like to hang out with harrington and negraneu. I think harrington and negraneu would give me a lot of good, honest advice about improving my own game, the rest of them would lie or try the mysterious non-answer.

as a side note, I haven't been impressed by the play of any of the female pros, except for that one lady (champion from minnesota or something?) that almost took out dario minieri last year. 9/10, they're just playing very passively, looking like they have indigestion most of the time, and only playing the good cards. of the ones that finished high, almost all of them had runs of good cards. most of the time i see them on tv, they're usually folding a pair or aq or something like that. i've never seen one win with bad cards, unlike the rest.

As great ideas for a good game,yours sounds like an educational experience,and lots of fun. My dream table would be a table of very rich people that don't know how to play, and they can't ask for help. It may not be sportsmanship,yet I love to win.
