  1. honeybees were brought to america from europe. if they died out in america, that would leave a lot of plants that need to be pollinated in order to produce fruit or veggies. so we would have to come up with a new way of pollinating those plants, or we would have a lot lot lot less food

  2. In the newest disney/pixar movie - Bee Movie - you see the honey bees stop working, so all the plants wilt and die.

I do not believe this would happen. True, bees spread pollen from flower to flower, making photosynthesis and reproduction possible. However, bees are not the only source of pollen transfer. Other bugs such as butterflies also transfer pollen. As does the wind.  Actually, this summer has been very harsh as far as pollen goes - our pool cover is almost completely coated in yellow pollen dust.

So - if bees went extinct, I don't think humans would die out... though I am sure they would somehow effect the natural order of things.

  3. The only reason I can think of would be that, as creatures that do a large part of the pollination in the world, if they all died less flowers would grow so there would be less plant life. But, there is plenty of plant life that is non-flowering, so, really one can't say without futhur study.

  4. We are well without honey...or bothersome bees...

  5. No, who want to take the bees honey away, taking honey from the bee.

  10. We rely on bees for pollination.  If there is no pollination, the plants die off...and that includes all the ones we rely on for food.

  11. No, we wouldn't die with the loss of one species.  We would suffer the consequences though, might might not be too pleasant.

  12. Watch "Bee Movie".
