I see a lot of people saying it is impossible to burn water in a gas car. But, I have installed the HHO water kit in my car, and I have seen a 2 mpg increase in fuel economy (13 mpg city to 15 mpg city). I have not done any modifications on my car other than hooking the HHO generator up. But I am not burning the water.

I decided to try it when I saw a science demonstration with 2 parts hydrogen and one part oxygen in a ballon. They put a flame to it, and it exploded very violently, and the end product was water vapor! So I installed the generator, which separates the hydrogen from oxygen in the water, the engine sucks it up through vacuum line, and it combusts, and water vapor is sent through the exhaust. So I made a HHO/Gasoline hybrid.

  1. I'm nowhere near an expert on mechanical dynamics, but it sounds to me like you're just leaning out the mixture a bit. you're not technically "burning water." You're burning hydrogen and oxygen with gasoline and producing a bit more water vapor than your engine was already emitting.

Also, how long have you been testing your gas mileage? from tank to tank I can get a 5-10 mpg swing, depending on several different factors.

  2. It don't work, you changed the way you drive. I have a long post to show you why it don't work and I'll post it again if you wish, (post and edit)

Back in the 1970's they did many test on gas saving devices and found that none of them work, but people claimed they got x better fuel mileage, so they did a test. They put a device in the engine compartment with wires and hoses. They show the driver the device and told them they would get better mileage. And surprise, a lot of them did report better mileage the problem was the device wasn't hooked up to anything thing. They discovered that when a person thinks they have a device hooked up to their car that will get them better fuel mileage they change the way they drive, and that after a month or so they are getting the same fuel mileage as they did before.

I know there were a few papers done on this in the 70's but who know if they are online or not.
