Question:

Your best getaway suggestions?

I am longing to get away but the problem is, I don't know where. I see parts of what I'd like in my mind, but no clear picture, so I am searching various places and feeling overwhelmed. It would be really nice to feel renewed but that doesn't mean it needs to be a spa. I am looking for suggestions of places, anywhere, that gave you a nice feel by its surroundings - hospitable people, charm, interesting to visit and yet relaxing somehow. I know this is very general but it is so difficult to say when I don't quite know myself. Suggestions would be very helpful, in spite of it being very subjective. Someone might have had a wonderful experience that could be just what I am searching for.

Thank you so much.

  3. Savannah, Georgia - read the book "Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil" by John Berendt first to get the feel of this

    lovely city.

    Or, how about Bermuda?

  4. There is nothing like a cruise.

You enjoy faraway places and the comforts of luxury for a comfortable cost.

The staff treats you like royalty, the meals are awesome, the entertainment is topnotch, and relaxation awaits you on the open air deck.  You will definately feel renewed.

Researching various cruise destinations available in your area, will definately narrow down your search and you will feel less overwhelmed.

Arizona... start in Phoenix - but don't stay to long.  Head down south to Tuscon.  Then head to Bisbee Arizona -stay at the Shady Dell - it is like going back in time - , go to Kartchner Caves, maybe even go over to Mexico for a few days.  Lots of wide open spaces and great weather if you go from October to May.
