  1. what a LIFESAVER!!!  both of my twins were diagnosed with cow's milk protein allergy after two weeks of pure h**l!!!  they had blood in their stool, vomiting, and horrible gas.  after 3 days everything went back to normal and our happy babies were back :)  they will be six months in a week and i couldn't be happier with this formula.  also...  we get it from the "mini pharmacy" and they deliver it right to our front door every month!  their insurance covers the price and thank God since it's twice as expensive and would cost us $600 just in formula for them!  i hope ur experience is as good as ours was... wait it out because it could take up to a week or two for the gas to go away.

  2. All of my children had it at one time or another. They loved it. Helped avoid dairy allergies in the older children.  Worked on the reflux too. Very expensive though.

  3. My daughter had reflux.  I had the very best luck with Good Start.  I learned by my second baby that the reason for this was both my girls had lactase deficiency..kinda like lactose intolerance but not really.  It was adding to the reflux.  Lactose is important to their brain development though so I didn't want to get the lactose free stuff.  Good Start has 70% less lactose in it...it worked best for my girls.

And to be more specific to your question I did try Nutramigen and my daughter wouldn't drink it.  I tried it and it tastes aweful.

  4. We put my Daughter on it and I didn't see any difference. It is also very thin compared to other formulas and it seems to run through them quicker than others, which means your baby will probably want to be feed more than normal. My Daughter as well had AR and we put her on Similac Sensitive and she was prescribed AR medicine.

If at all costs, it helps your son please keep him on it. Just give it a try and see how it works. It is rather expensive but well worth it if it helps the little guy.

  5. My son was put on Nutramigen when he was a month old due to not being able to handle the other formulas. He loved it. He had lost a bunch of weight because he was unable to keep anything down. As soon as he started this formula he was fine. He used to throw up at least three times per feeding but once we switched he kept everything down. I know it is a little weird and expensive but it works. I hope this helps. Good luck.

  6. I have used it and I will be honest it stinks(smells bad) and the children didn't care for it.  but it did make a difference for the reflux.  On the other hand some children didn't care about the taste and drank it just the same.  good luck.  hope it helps

  7. It is great!  It does smell bad, but my daughter (who was put on this formula at 2 months old, b/c of such sensitivity to all other formulas, and gas problems) loves it!  It has made such a difference in her sensitivity...she wasn't pooping correctly, she had really bad gas, and screamed b/c her belly hurt so bad, but the Nutramigen has made all the difference, except she spits up a little with it.  After changing my daughter's formula five times not including breast milk, this is the one we're sticking with.  Good luck.
