  1. original Mossy Oak Treestand

  2. german flecktarn

  3. I agree with Bob Lee's answer, I'm a Marine and love the Digi cami as we call it. desert or woodland it is hard to beat as  long as it is USMC pattern as arr Eagle Globe and Anchor insigana is part of the pattern. This breaks up the shape of your body and weapon really well. The only problem is you need a marine to get it.

  4. I like mossy oak break-up. I have it as the background for my desktop.

  5. I like the woodland military camo pattern because it can be used in a variety of terrains. Its sad the military doesn't use it anymore.

  6. multi cam. it works in multiple environments pretty well without having to buy different patterns.

  7. Vietnam era tiger stripe

  8. Check out mothwing patterns too.

    From their website:

At MOTHWING Camo Technologies, Inc., we utilize the latest in computer software combined with high resolution images from an infinite number of moth species to create an endless number of camouflage patterns.

A company named Sitka Mountain Gear uses their patterns exclusively and makes awesome (although pricey) hunting gear that is on par with mountaineering gear!

  9. my favorite camo pattern is the new military digital camo. it works better than normal camo because it has equal amounts of every color in an environment, so the animal's eye subconsciously blends them together. when blended, these colors are absolutely neutral, so they fool the brain by tqaking to the color closest to it. that's why itsmy favorite, it blends in so many places, its state of the art, it's cheap! try adding cut up pieces of cloth to a camo suit to break up the human outline too.

  10. Well to begin with, Doc is mi-informed. I hunt Deer with a Bow in CT and Camo is allowed everywhere during bow season. I also hunt Turkey, Ducks, Goose, and Crow in Connecticut, and Camo is allowed. I also hunt land I own, and guess what, Yes Camo is allowed for the landowner.

Now I like Tiger Stripe in a tree during bow season for Deer, and for Turkey. All Camo, if the colors are present during that season work the same way. It is impossible to tell which is best.

In fact during gun season, I wear dark brown overalls, and coat, you know the kind you get at Home Depot to work outside. I then paint black stripes in it to break up the outline, and have shot many a big buck with it. I use this when I ground hunt as that in matches the brown fallen leaves.

And I always use a light Brown, or OD Green  Boonie hat that I spray painted black stripes in. I then put twigs in the hat, and in by Brown Jacket to break up the outline.

The Boone hat works especially well for Ducks and Geese, and Crows, as that they are looking down at you.

This may not be High Tech, but it works best coupled with natural camo available where you hunt, and I am warm.

  11. If I were hunting men, I'd go in for camo.  But since most states require 400 to 500 square inches of unbroken blaze orange above the waist, I consider camouflage for hunting to be a waste of money.

  12. I like ghillie suit camo. lol. But my favorite that is not a ghillie suit would be the military woodland camo. The problem with the Digi camo is that most of the time for heavily wooded areas and pine forests and such it is too light and sticks out pretty easily. The woodland camo is my favorite because if you hunt and arid/semi arid climate, it still blends in with the sparse vegetation. In climate like that I almost always hunt around the vegetation. It's where the animals are centralized.
