Your favourite character in pride and prejudice and why?

Personally i love all the characters. Even though the novel was written in the 1700's you can still relate to them all, which i think is great.

My favourtie would have to be Elizabeth. She seems like someone who would make a really great and loyal friend. =P

I would have to say Elizabeth.  She is so bright and refreshing as a character, even though sometimes she is a bit judgmental.  Money doesn't impress her, which makes her a sensible character to me.

Mr. Bennett in the 2005 movie version. He stood up to his wife on the marriage proposal Lizzie didn't accept.

Well, Elizabeth is one of fiction's most delightful heroines, and I am very fond of her.  I also like Mr Bennett for his dry wit, and Mrs Bennett is a very funny character.  And the preposterous Mr Collins and Lady Catherine are both very amusing too.  I would find it tough to choose one favourite, but I suppose it would have to be Lizzie really.

Actually I always felt bad for Caroline Bingley...I actually would have liked to know more about her.
