  1. My fav match is the final of the T20 World Cup, played between India and Pakistan! At one point it seemed as if Pakistan is gonna win the T20 world championship, but the last over bowled by Joginder Sharma was the turning point! When Dhoni gave Joginder to bowl the last over, then i was like "Ohh noooo! India will definitely loose!" but Misbah played a very loose shot and was caught by Sreeshanth and Bravo! India won! India became the T20 champions!

  19. England vs Australia at Edgbaston 2005

    England won by 2 runs

It was a great game, it was pure entertainment all the way through.

    * England scored at 5an over on the 1st day to make 408/10

    * Giles gets the key wickets of Ponting to put England in control

    * Australia reach just over 300 with the help of some useful batting from Katich and co

    * England struggle in the 2nd innnigs. Until Andrew Flintoff steals the show by scoring a quick-fire 70 and creating a valuable partnership at the end with Jones.

    * Warne bowls Flintoff leaving Australia 282 to win

    * Flintoff comes on and bowls a "perfect" over, getting Langer and Ponting.

    * Harmison cleans bowsl Clark leaving Australia needing over 100 to win with 2 wickets remaining.

    * Warne gets out- hit wicket

    * Jones drops a vital catch to win the game

    * Australia need 3 to win, but Harmison bowls a superb rising bouncer and THATS IT ENGLAND HAVE WON

  20. ODI:

    1) The Asia XI vs. Rest of the World XI match on April 14, 2001 in Dhaka. Batting first, Asia scored 319 runs. Chasing 320 to win, ROW were 8 wickets down with 130 plus runs to win. Michael Bevan then played possibly the greatest one-man act in cricket history and scored and unbeaten 186, and with Andrew Caddick, nearly got them there. With 2 balls to spare, ROW needed 7 runs. Bevan drove to long off and would have gotten a two, but Caddick forgot to ground his bat and was run out at the bowler's end. Needing 6 of the last ball, Bevan hit a 4, resulting in ROW losing by one run. If Caddick had completed the run the match would have been a tie, a fair result, and it would have been the greatest display of a single handed recovery by one batsman in ODI cricket. I still admire Michael Bevan for that innings out of all the important ones he had played in his illustriou career. Amazingly, he had enough stamina to have bowled 8 overs in the sultry April heat, having just arrived a day before and still jet-lagged, before he played that epic innings later in the evening.

    2) The Australia vs. South Africa match at Jo'burg in March 2006. It is unlikely to happen again in a long time that a team will score 434 only for the other to reply by scoring 438 in a 50 over game. The South African chase was edge-of-your-seat stuff for each of 299 balls (they won the game with a ball to spare).

    Tests:

    1) The 2001 Kolkata Test between Australia and India. A classic case of will and determination wining the day after digging themselves out from the depths of despair. The heroics of VVS Laxman, Rahul Dravid and later Harbhajan Singh became forever a part of Test cricket folklore.

    2) The entire Ashes series of 2005. England were deserving winners of the most closely fought Test series in living memory. An absolute roller-coaster of a series, with every player on both sides contributing to making it the most-watchable series ever.

    T20:

    1) The India vs. Australia semi-final at the T20 World Cup. As closely fought as the final, it represented the symbolic passing of the baton from the kings of ODI and Test cricket to the would-be winners of T20's first great event.

  21. whn australia won their 3rd world cup final! de most deserving victory ever! i jes love it completely!
